What’s YOUR Why?

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on my weight loss journey is never ever to let my why’s get far away. I keep my why’s close by. One great idea my Weight Watcher leader gave our meeting was 100 days of why.  Why 100? You will start to achieve why’s and you’ll need more. Doing 100 days was a hard task. 100 reasons why I want to lose weight?

  • Why do you want to lose weight?
  • Why do you want to be healthier?
  • Why do you want to be on a healthy journey?

I can sum up all of my why’s simply.  My why’s? I want the second half of my life to be better for my health than I treated myself during the last 45 years.

Let that sink in. I’m making an investment in me. That means I’m not expecting immediate payoffs, I don’t expect a return on my investment today nor do I expect to stop investing.

I CHOOSE to show up not just everyday – but every meal and every minute. The slippery slope to not giving a damn is RIGHT OVER THERE and I simply don’t acknowledge it.

Keep showing up and you’ll never have another day 1.
